Syncier is a new company that Allianz has created in 2018 to offer all insurance companies a cloud-based management platform for their insurance contracts. Syncier also develops products and services that support insurers on their path to digitalization.

To accompany this path from traditional insurance to more digitalized, agile companies and to operate our solutions professionally, we are looking for dedicated new colleagues. We have many exciting tasks in and around the operation of the platform, the setup and configuration of products and functions according to the customer base and customer needs as well as the support of migration projects. We are also constantly researching and developing new, innovative ideas for insurers.

Java Backend Developer (m/f/d)
Your tasks:
  • You take part in the design and architecture processes, in particular domain driven design and event sourcing.
  • You develop microservices within an agile and cross-functional team.
  • You execute the release processes of the features you develop and maintain in production.
  • You focus on quality, such as the test driven design, unit tests, Sonarqube, SW quality.
  • You will be able to impact and shape the product.
  • You are very interested in new techniques to safely bring software into production through feature toggles, shadow testing and gradual releasing.
Your profile:
  • You have at least 2 years of working experience with Java Spring Boot and microservice-oriented architectures. 
  • Ideally you have knowledge on Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, and Docker-Compose.
  • Knowledge on PostgreSQL, MongoDB or Redis is also of advantage. 
  • You are passionate about frontend development and work solution oriented.
  • You care about writing proper tests (unit, integration, etc.).
  • You are open-minded, open to be challenged and are able to communicate effectively.
  • You are fluent in spoken and written English, German language skills are of advantage.
