Syncier is a new company that Allianz has created in 2018 to offer all insurance companies a cloud-based management platform for their insurance contracts. Syncier also develops products and services that support insurers on their path to digitalization.

To accompany this path from traditional insurance to more digitalized, agile companies and to operate our solutions professionally, we are looking for dedicated new colleagues. We have many exciting tasks in and around the operation of the platform, the setup and configuration of products and functions according to the customer base and customer needs as well as the support of migration projects. We are also constantly researching and developing new, innovative ideas for insurers.

Product Owner (m/f/d)
Your tasks:
  • You are responsible for innovation and the end-to-end launch of products.
  • You collaborate with global commercial service partners and customers to co-develop a roadmap and drive products and features from concept to launch in a fast-paced environment. 
  • You work with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including analytics, design / user experience, engineering, and user enablement. 
  • You turn data insights into products with actionable outcomes to the ultimate customer.
  • You work in an agile environment and continuously review the business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks. 
  • You partner up with stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform about the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization. 
  • You develop, own and execute product roadmaps. 
  • You work together with user focus to define the self-service user experience, support, and monitoring for customers. 
  • You partner up with the sales department to define the user experience for internal users, including support and monitoring. 
  • You translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements, including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria. 
  • You prioritize and maintain the sprint backlog for assigned products, balancing the requirements of stakeholders and partnering with the Technical Product Owner to balance technical vs. business backlog. 
  • You lead the product functional design process based on an intimate knowledge of the users and technology. 
  • You define and execute the go-to market plan.
  • You develop and maintain appropriate tracking and reporting of product performance post-launch to evaluate future investment. 
Your profile:
  • You are a full-blood product owner / product manager with many years (5+ years) of experience in the digital environment and feel comfortable in an agile working environment.
  • You think and act end-to-end. You can take the customer’s perspective and at the same time you understand regulatory and process requirements.
  • You are not afraid of complex problems and projects and ideally you have a proven record of concrete insurance experience. 
  • You work data-driven and are confident in dealing with the appropriate qualitative and quantitative tools and methods.
  • You communicate easily with different departments. 
  • Experience in the insurance industry is of advantage. 
  • Very good German skills are indispensible for this position as well as fluent English language skills.
